Barry Van Wie is a high-energy, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and composer whose career spans decades of professional performance, large-scale productions, and headline-level entertainment. Known for his commanding stage presence, technical mastery, and charismatic connection with audiences, Barry delivers electrifying performances that blend violin/fiddle, mandolin, guitar, and vocals into a powerful, unforgettable live experience.

Born into a family of professional musicians, Barry began formal classical training on piano and violin at the age of four. By age nine, he was already performing professionally, and at just twelve years old he earned the Arizona State Fiddle Championship. Gifted with perfect pitch and a natural ear for arrangement and composition, Barry developed a musical foundation rooted in classical discipline while simultaneously exploring rock, country, bluegrass, blues, jazz, and fusion. Barry has been a full-time professional entertainer since 1994 and a studio session musician since 1989.

Over the years, he has owned and operated multiple recording studios, producing, arranging, and recording numerous albums and artist projects. Signed to an independent Record Label - Blue Wave Records, Barry released multiple CDs — including Lightning Fiddle Collection and Shuffle Shuffle Blues — selling over 100,000 units with no radio airplay or traditional distribution. Every sale was driven by live performance and direct audience connection.

A seasoned headline performer, Barry has produced and performed his own shows for audiences of up to 30,000 people, while also opening for and performing alongside numerous national recording artists and entertainment figures. His ability to command both intimate venues and massive crowds has made him a trusted and sought-after performer across a wide range of environments.

Barry spent five years as a fly-on guest entertainer for Carnival Cruise Lines, headlining main showroom productions backed by a 10-piece band and professional dancers. These performances consistently earned rave reviews and reinforced his reputation as a polished, production-ready headliner capable of delivering night after night at the highest professional level.

His live performance history includes appearances at some of the largest and most respected events in the country, including: * National Finals Rodeo (Las Vegas) * Cheyenne Frontier Days * Denver Stock Show * Major NASCAR and motorsports events * State and county fairs, festivals, conventions, and national showcases In addition to public events, Barry has been a premier choice for major corporate and private performances, delivering high-impact entertainment for organizations such as State Farm, Interstate Batteries, and numerous national brands. His professionalism, adaptability, and crowd-engaging style have made him a reliable performer for high-profile corporate environments and special events.

Barry’s career also includes prominent roles in major Las Vegas production shows, including Country Fever at the Golden Nugget — where he served as both a featured performer and Assistant Musical Director — as well as Country Tonight at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas. Additional engagements followed with Mirage Entertainment properties, including Beau Rivage in Biloxi, Mississippi.
